What the new estates actually need
Handover locks, garage side doors, sliding stackers and a lot of keys that have never been counted.
House lockouts
Front doors, garage internal doors and stacker sliders. Opened by pick or bypass so the hardware survives intact.
Handover lock review
A walk around the house, door by door, telling you which hardware is already adequate and which is a token gesture. No charge to have the conversation.
Car lockouts
Air wedges and long reach tools in the driveway, plus replacement keys cut and programmed for most makes on the road.
Lost keys and rekeying
Cut to the lock on site, or the barrel rekeyed. New houses often have more keys in circulation than the owner realises, from trades to the previous walkthrough.
Garage side doors
The single most common weak point in a new build. A proper deadbolt there changes the security of the whole house more than anything else you could spend the money on.
Deadlocks and keyed-alike sets
Deadbolts to AS 4145, one key for house, garage and gate, and restricted profiles where key control matters.

Between the builder, the trades and the walkthroughs, a new home usually has keys unaccounted for by the time you move in. Rekeying on day one takes minutes per cylinder and settles the question permanently.

What new owners ask us
Should I rekey a brand new house?
Yes, on the day you get the keys. Builders, trades and agents all had access, and rekeying costs a fraction of new hardware while killing every existing key.
Are the builder locks any good?
The front door usually is. The garage side door and the internal garage door usually are not. We will walk the house and tell you which is which.
How long will you be?
Ten to twenty minutes across the estates. We give you a real number.
Is the quote final?
Yes, one figure for the call-out and the work.
My stacker slider will not lock.
Usually the door has dropped slightly so the hook misses the keeper. Adjusting it costs far less than replacing hardware.
What ID do you need?
Something matching the address, or ID plus proof of ownership for a car. Every time.
Locked out, or just moved in?
One call either way. A price for the lockout, or an honest walk around the house before anyone spends anything.
